It’s that time again! Camp Nano April 2019 is just around the corner and as always I am taking part. The thing I love about the Camp NaNo’s are that you can pick your goal without feeling pressured into aiming for the big 50k for NaNoWriMo in November.
These month long writing sprints are so handy for giving yourself that boost and time to really focus on just writing, they allow you to just forget the structure, the holes and everything else that usually comes along with writing. It gives you the freedom to do what you love and just write.
I am aiming to do a minimum of 6000 words, or 1 hour a day. Yes, I know I have two targets but one is an upper target (1 hour a day) and the other is lower (6k over the month). This allows for any health or life issues that may come up.
I have set up a cabin for those in the writing group that I admin on Facebook (The Fiction Cafe – Writer’s Group) and have created worksheets for the week leading up to April so we can all get into the practice of writing daily and hopefully iron out any of those possible issues that get thrown up during the writing stage
Are you taking part in Camp NaNo? If you are what are your goals? What are you working on? Please let me know below in the comments.
Here are the details of my WIP;
Blurb-ish (Still a working progress lol)
Alaria is a generational traditional wytch, as she gets closer to the age of maturity her powers grow and leave her with many questions about her heritage. Seeking help from High Warlock Zaros, Alaria uncovers sinister secrets, kidnapping and murder. Forced to deal with issues of her past, can Alaria save herself from those who hunt her down and seek their own answers?
I am hoping to pop on with weekly updates and would love for you to join me.
