Hey Guys and Gals,

This week I have decorated my planners all the same theme.

The sticker set comes from Vintage Rose Studios and is Christmas Shopping Personal Kit and was provided as part of my design team package.

This is how I have used it in my everyday carry, passport size dori.

Then I set up my blog planner. The social media icons are also from Vintage Rose Studios.

And last but not least my stay at home everything planner which is a brand new Heidi Swapp.

I love how I have managed to do all 3 spreads with 1 kit and I have plenty left over.

Plan With Hannah UK Insert Review

* Disclaimer: I received a sample 3 month copy of inserts from Hannah in exchange for my unbiased review and critique. My opinions are my own and without influence.

If you have read my blog before you know I love a good insert. In all honestly I’m yet to come across one I’ve reviewed I have disliked however Hannah’s inserts really do raise the bar.

They were delivered within a couple of days of us speaking and were packaged perfectly.

Hannah popped a little note in the front with her business card, thanking me for reviewing the product and offering a code for all my readers which I will pop in later.

The first thing that got me when I took the inserts out of the wrapping was the thickness and quality.
The paper is thick and smooth, 120gsm and has with stood the pen I have used with absolutely no ghosting. Hannah mentioned that she has also done a pen test and found non to bleed through.

I set about decorating it ready for September as that was my chosen month start and I really enjoyed using them. The lines are dark and thin, perfect for me as I prefer having narrow lines.

I received September to December monthly overview and 3 month week on 1 page with extras.

As you can see there is plenty of room to write in.

Hannah offers various size and designs in her store and charges only 50p extra for a custom design.

The prices are extremely good value and low compared to others I have seen.

I loved these so much I actually placed a custom order for some to be made for when I go back to college in September. I know that Hannah is also working on some seasonal inserts too.

Here are the details on how to contact Hannah and see her work.

Thank you for reading and if you are looking for inserts I highly recommend making the most of the discount and ordering.

My Week 32

I’ve been totally useless at doing ‘Plan With Me’ posts so I thought I would try something a bit different and go with a ‘My Week’ posts.

I’m starting with next week, Monday 8th August.

I’m trying something a little bit different this month, the reasons why will be explained in a post later this week.

I am using Just So Stationery inserts and I’ve split the weekly into two sections. 1 is for my blog planning the 2nd is for my everyday planning.

I love the layout of these inserts with the notes and to-do sections on the left. It means I get an overview on my priority tasks without having to search for them in my weekly diary.

I’ve kept my decor really simple this week while I adjust to the new set up.

The washi comes from the Micheals Recollections Watercolour tube I was luckily enough to get from someone here in the UK.

The stickers are from UglyBugDoesIt’s Only Me CaraleeThe Geeky Planner and AJ6Designs.

I have the new Carpe Diem Ballerina planner on pre-order which should have been here but is currently delayed. I am looking forward to that arriving to try out the new vertical inserts.

Lots of blog posts to put out this week and my everyday looks a little empty but that’s due to having the kids off school as we try to live with a bit of spontaneity lol:)

Kate Spade 2017 Gold Dotted Agenda

With the launch of the new business came the need for a new planner.

I really wanted something small and light to pop in my bag so that I have something with me at all times for anything that comes up.

I was certain I did not want a ring planner or traveler’s notebook so i looked into coiled planners.

As it turned out a friend of mine was wanting to get rid of her Kate Spade agenda that hadn’t been used. So we did a swap. My Heidi Swapp for her Kate Spade.

I have to say I really really like it. It’s so much simpler than all the planners i have. It’s a few note pages, monthly overview and week on 2 page weekly layout. The design is elegant and simple. Perfect for what I was looking for.

As you can see from the pictures there is also a little double sided pocket at the front, perfect for a little stash of stickers or anything else you may need to keep hold of.

The pages are smooth and excellent quality. I love the layout and for a change do not feel like I need to decorate them, which admittedly I do feel is a need rather than desire in most cases these days (my mind doesn’t like naked pages much anymore lol).

Overall I am really impressed with this little planner.

Would definitely get another one next year.

Future Planning and Weekly Checklist

Everybody loves to save time, in a society that is constantly looking to be productive and organised there are always tips and tricks to minimise the time we spend doing the tasks we need to get through each week.

I am one of these people, even though I am not currently working I am always on the lookout for ways to be productive with the time I do have.

I rarely get any time to myself and when I do it’s usually spent planning the next day, week ahead, on my blog, reading etc. I like to try and get as much done within that time as I possibly can otherwise it can be a good few days before I get any more time (toddlers are soooo demanding).

Well I thought I would share with you some of my tips and tricks when it comes to planning productivity and my weekly task checklist to ensure I have those little things accounted for.

When it comes to planning there are a few things which I like to do in advance.

1) Decoration – I always decorate 4 weeks at a time. I like to know that everything is ready to use as and when it maybe needed. Some people may not like this as decorating weekly is part of their planning process however I leave my blog planner to do weekly but always pre-decorate my everyday. It’s one less thing for me to worry about.

2) Schedule Tasks – Once I have decorated my 4 weeks I then go through and add in any birthdays, appointments, calls, emails that are upcoming and I schedule in all my tasks such as laundry, rubbish, ironing, hoovering etc. I have a housework schedule that rarely differs week to week so it’s easy enough to do.

3)  Monthly Goals – At this point I usually write up my goals for the next month ahead. What I want to have achieved when it comes to doing my next set of weeklies. This is also handy to look back on to see where you may have failed, mistakes you’ve made and what you’ve learnt

So there are my top top 3 future planning tips.

Each week however I have checklist which I like to do through to ensure that some actions are taken care of but the days can differ week to week.

My weekly checklist consists of;

1) Scheduling ‘me’ time – I have to do this to ensure that I remember to look after myself. If I didn’t I’d end up doing housework or things for other people. I also use this time for blog planning, decorating and other planner goodness.

2) Schedule ‘miscellaneous’ time – This is just time where I plan not to plan. This for anything that may pop up that needs dealing with quickly that couldn’t be planned. This to to try and maximise productivity with my other tasks and minimise distractions.

3) Weekly To-Do List – This is pretty self explanatory. I list all the tasks I want done for the week and then prioritise the top 3-5 that are essential.

4) Menu Planning and Shopping List – I don’t plan my meals in advance for each day, instead what I do is write down 7 meals that I want for that week and just tick off which I have when I have them. That way I can be a bit more flexible with how I feel on that day. I also write a shopping list to correspond to what I need.

5) Theme My Days – This is an idea which was originally from Alexis over on Strange And Charmed and it’s very simple and rather brilliant.
Plan your days tasks according to their category, for example; do all house work in the same day, all paperwork in the same day etc. This maximises your focus and makes productivity higher.

There you have it, how I future plan and weekly plan.

If you have any tips or tricks I’d love to know them. I am always looking for ways to improve my process.
