Ugly Bug Does September! Box Unveiling :)

*Disclaimer – This box was given to me free in exchange for an honest review and part of my design team duties. Non -payment does not alter my opinion in any way. *

It’s that time of the month again…UglyBugDoes Planner and Stationery box unveiling 🙂

This months theme was Autumn and Halloween. Both favourites of mine so I was really excited to see what was in the box.

I was not disappointed at all.

The whole box is just a whole load of gorgeousness.

So let’s have a look at the contents.

First of all the stickers and charm. Both made by UglyBugDoes. I love this charm, it’s found a place on my new planner.

The fox paperclip is from Scarlet Moon Crafts and is absolutely gorgeous.

There was a gold pen and autumn themed washi also in the box.

I really love the little halloween sequin bits that were floating about in the box which I’m saving to use in my art journal.

Again another winning box from Michelle.

Michelle also has some exciting new arrivals coming our way.

The release of a new art journal supplies box containing things such as paints, stamps, atc’s, ephemera etc. This is currently available as a test run but there are only 6 boxes available but you have got to get in quickly. UglyBugDoes Art Journal box

And *drum roll*…. UGLYDORI that’s right UglyBugDoes TN’s! I will post when these are available but look at the pockets of the prototype.

Confessions Of A Plannerholic: Autumn Planner Set-up

Today’s Confessions instalment is all about our Autumn Planner set-up.

I almost didn’t make this one as I was waiting the brand new Carpe Diem Reset Girl Ballerina planner to arrive after it’s release had been delayed a few times.

Luckily the postman brought me it this morning as Michelle at UglyBugDoes had posted them out first thing Friday.

I love the colour of this planner and while it isn’t the traditional orange or brown that most people go for I do love how cosy the pink is.

I’ve managed to set it up and aside from a couple of paperclips that I am waiting for it’s all ready to go:)

I will post pics of my set-up and links to the relevant shops.

Stickers by Beautiful Planning and Filofablouss

Dashboard and magnetic clips by MyPrettySummer

Inserts are part of the new Carpe Diem Reset Girl range.

Latest Stationery Haul

It has been a while since I have had a good old latest purchases post. I don’t buy stuff often anymore as I pretty much have all that I need however, at this time of the year I always get that urge to change it up a bit.

First off we have the amazing Goonies sticker kit from All Things Paper. I was so eager to use this kit that I don’t have a picture of all the stickers so I have taken a pic of them in use aswell as ones I’ve saved.

Next there are these beautiful foiled stickers from FiloFabulouss. Again I was impatient and ended up using a couple before I took pictures 🙂 The small weekend stickers were a freebie in my order.

Now let’s talk washi’s. I bought these gorgeous foiled washi from Jadiescrafts. They are brilliant quality too, perfect stickines and don’t leave any residue.

There is also this perfectly autumnal washi from A Beautiful Plan. Kelly sold out of this pretty quickly last time but has since restocked. It looks so pretty used. You can see how it looks in my previous post Confessions Of…Autumn Bucket List.

Next we have a little collection of items from Three Little Buhos. I ordered a Pen and some washi’s. I was also sent another washi and some Wizard of Oz stickers as freebies too.

Finally we have an autumnal ephemera kit that I ordered from the The Idea Owl sale. Donna over at The Idea Owl is actually closing her store to focus on selling subscription boxes primarily for penpals and TN enthusiasts.

So there you have it. There will be a few more of these posts in the comig weeks as I have stuff that is due to arrive any day now.

Confessions Of A Plannerholic Q&A

This week’s instalment comes in the form of a Q&A session.

If you have any questions for us please leave them in the comments below or via email at and I’ll put them into the next Q&A session.

1) What is your favourite planner?

My favourite planner currently is the Wellness Planner from Kikki-K. I was using this as a blog planner until recently and have now swapped it over to be my main everyday primary planner.

2) Does your planner have a name? If so what?

Oddly enough this one doesn’t however I have named previous planners and I have got names for my TNs, Inny and Wally:)

3) What is your favourite accessory?

Oh this is hard. I love stickers and a good pen but I think washi is my fav, it’s so versatile and brightens everything up easily:)

4) What is your top planning tip?

This is difficult as I’d have two. My first would be, to be yourself.  Don’t be afraid to be different and unique. Everyone’s process is different. Enjoy what you love.

The second tip would be future planning. Future planning changed my game and improved my organisation so much. I decorate 4 weeks in advance, I plan my blog a month in advance and everything else I possibly can plan for I will. Gives me a sense of much more control.

5) Why Planners?

Hard to say why exactly. It’s more than planners, it’s Stationery. Something that started when I was very young and has developed more as I’ve got older. I love that I gain a sense of control in my life when I wouldn’t necessarily have. They have helped me manage my PND aswell, allowing me to pinpoint triggers and resolving actions:)

6) If you were stuck on a desert island would would your top 5 items be?

Now…well…this is difficult lol.

My washi tub, how handy would that be to stick stuff together.

Paper to write down my adventures.

My pencil write down my adventures and thoughts/feelings.

A lighter, to cook, gain warmth and see in the dark.

A tent, to keep myself sheltered.

7) If there was a zombie apocalypse and you could get to one store but the path was clear to the local supermarket and a Stationery store which would you chose?

I’d initially thought the supermarket however on reflection it would be the Stationery shop. Why? Well no-one else would think to pilage and loot that place. The supermarket is probably already empty of anything of use. Stationery shops usually have food, drink and other stuff. Staff rooms would likely have medical supplies too.

8) If you won 1 million on the Lotto and could only spend it on 3 thinks what would it be?

Oh my word..only 3 lol!

First of all I’d wipe all my student debts. That way life would be cheaper.

Secondly I’d buy my dream home in Canada and move the family out there.

Thirdly I would buy and run a cute bookstore that has charm and comfort. A place people love to be.

I’m really intrigued to see the responses to these from the other girls.

My Favourite Planner Supplies

I’m not sure about you but it doesn’t matter what I buy I still have some good old favourites that I go back to time and time again.

In today’s post I am going to go through all my favourite supplies. This will include my favourite pens, washi and stickers.

My ultimate pens are the Uniball Signo Sakura 0.38. I usually just order these in black but I thought I’d try the blue and red as well and I was pleasantly impressed. I don’t find the pen sratchy at all and the nib is perfect for me as I really like the finer size. They can be found on this listing via eBay

Next we have the Frixxon pastel highlighters. I love erasable pens but the ink usually isn’t deep enough in colour for me but these are perfect especially for highlighting my studies and such. I received these as a Xmas gift but I’m sure Whsmith sells them.

Next on my pen list are these little beauties. They have replaced my coletto and a fairly recent purchase. The colours are gorgeous and they write so nice. I got these from Hey Little Magpie.

Next we have stickers. There is quite a selection I go to for decorating. I’m not sure where most of these came from but I do love them. I’m not a fan of embossed or puffy stickers in my planner so these are perfect. I also use a selection of functional stickers. The shops featured in this selection are Smallstuffcreations , UglyBugPlans and Mrs Brimbles .

And finally the last if my favourite things… Washi! I have hundreds of them (437 to be exact!). However I have picked out my favourite 15 which include vintage, Boho and Harry Potter 🙂

Well there you have it those are my favourite planner accessories.

What are your favourites?

Mini Planner Meet Up

Myself and another planner lady Michelle organised a little planner meet up. We plan on organising a larger one to give people more notice and at a better venue.

Due to the short notice only 3 of us managed to make it but it was still great fun.

We met at Costa Coffee in Teesside Retail Park.

We chatted, had drinks, food and discussed the all important planners. We all had a look at each others planners and admired planner styles. It was nice to see the A5 Malden, Yellow Kikki.K and Carpe Diem planners in action as I’d only ever seen photo’s previously.

Of course no planner addict could resist the pull of stationery shops when at a retail park. It was my first ever visit to a Hobbycraft and a proper Paperchase (my closest one is a tiny franchise). I managed to control myself and not buy every single washi tape in there. I did pick up a few bits and bobs for myself and my daughters birthday.

The day wouldn’t be complete without pictures of our planners, gorgeous planner peeps and pretty purchases:)

I’ll be sure to announce when we arrange the big North-East meet!

Pretty Planner Purchases #2

Welcome to another Pretty Planner Purchases post. I have been waiting a while to post this as I had things arriving at different times. I have come across some really nice things both online and in shops that I just cannot wait to share with you.

So let’s crack on shall we:)

My lovely Websters Pages dividers had become quite tatty so they needed replacing. I bought this lovely set of Ancient Map dividers from My Pretty Week on Etsy. They were fairly well priced and I opted for the front and back doing. They did take a long time to arrive, almost two weeks so not ideal if you are in a hurry but they are handmade and I’m glad that they were not rushed as that may have ruined the quality. The dividers are very sturdy but not laminated. I love them and think they are really good quality. I would most definitely go back to buy more again.

I got these from the store Cherry Blossoms In The Market Square on Etsy and they are absolutely divine. They are made really really well and extremely sturdy for your planner. There are so many designs that I had trouble just sticking to these. The Unikitty was for my daughter, the bow and planner nerd were for me:)

Now I may have had a little splurge on stickers this time. I got some really nice decorative and functional ones.

I got these really tiny and cute functional household stickers from Small Stuff Creations on Etsy. I love how small they are, they fit perfectly in my Filofax personal. They are really well priced at 80p per sheet and arrived within 3 days of me ordering. You can see from the picture than I am not exaggerating, they are tiny:)

Next I got some purely decorative stickers from The Organised Panda on Etsy. I adore the vintage floral themes at the moment and its hard to find something that I can use as everything is geared towards the ECLP or Happy Planner. Again these are amazing quality, great prices and super quick delivery.

Lastly I ordered some sticker from Chocho and Mimi on Etsy. I got a mix of decorative and functional stickers and I have to say I was blown away by the quality of these and the free sample sheet that arrived was perfect. I love the little touches with these like the name card that now sits in my planner pocket. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

The washi I purchased has not come from an on-line store this time, most however be purchased that way.

I found these two really pretty sets in Paperchase. They come in a set of 8 and cost £8. I really like the Serengeti theme set more than anything, but who can resist rainbows and sparkles?:)

My next washi purchase was from The Works. It was a set of 3 vintage tapes for £2, as I said previously I am really loving the vintage theme so this was perfect.

My last washi purchase was within a Facebook group. I managed to get hold of the rare Harry Potter tape. It was well worth the cost too £13 as I had been looking everywhere for it. I love it so much:)

I also picked up these gorgeous postcards from Paperchase too. I thought they would make fantastic dividers or for little notes to friends. They were 70p each

Plan With Me#2 Jade

Today is my first hosted guest post with the lovely Jade Luxford, a fellow planner addict:)

Hi, I’m Jade. I’m 29 years old, a mother to 2 beautiful boys. I am a housewife but I also work part time.

I don’t have a particularly busy life but I’m always doing or needing to remember something. Planning is important to me not only because I have the worst memory but I find it very therapeutic.

I’m currently using a large cobalt blue Kikki K planner for at home and a personal perforated blue Kikki K which comes out with me. I normally plan on a Sunday evening but as I had to work this week I planned Monday morning while my children were at school.

I’m a fan of colour as you may notice from the pictures so I love decorating and going through my washi and sticker collection.

As I have a huge amount of washi I buy from varied shops I couldn’t tell you where I purchased the purple washi but the thinner rainbow one is from Lava Lamp Designs. As for the stickers, the blue with white heart boxes are from Sticker Sunshine, the small round icon stickers are from The Plump Planner and all the others are Chocho and Mimi.

All of these sellers can be found on Etsy and Instagram.

For more of my pictures please check out @jadelux86 on Instagram. Thank you to Emma for letting me guest post and thank you to those that are reading this.

Have a lovely day 🙂

Huge Thank you to Jade for taking part. If anyone else would like to take part and show their plan with me please drop a comment below or send an email to

Happy Planning
