The Village Witch Hocus Pocus Box (Mar, Apr, May)

Hey Everyone. I’ve been super slack on writing about these three boxes due to being ill however, the time has come to unleash all of this amazingness to the wonderful internet.

I am a big fan of The Village Witch, not just as a company but as people they are just amazing and so extremely kind hearted. It is such a lovely family run business that I am happy to support in any way that I can.

I have had 4 of these boxes so far since launch and not one of them has been disappointing. You always get far more value that what you pay for and everything is made with love.

Without further ado, let’s have a look at what the contents were.

March

March saw the theme of Ostara/Rebirth. These boxes are made to suit both those who are Wiccan and Witch and Witch many crossover elements.

Included in this box was;

TSG Bookclub Box: What’s It About?

Hey:)
The aim of this post is to inform you what the TSG Bookclub Box is and why it is!

The Why!

I’ve always loved reading,  ever since I was a child I adored the fact I could tuck myself away into another world.

I also love bookish goodies and surprises. I know there are other book boxes out there but I wanted to do something that would appeal more to a lower budget and that was a little more unique. Now don’t get me wrong I love the other boxes and have subscribed them previously but when money got tight I wished there was something out there that was more within my budget. This is when TSG Bookclub was born.

So what is it?

TSG is a monthly book box. There are different boxes you can order that range from £10 to £22. I will list the types of box available;

Standard Box – £15 – contains a paperback version and a minimum of 3 items.

Kindle version – £15, this comes exactly the same as the standard box but with a kindle voucher instead for those who prefer an E-Reader. In the event that the book is cheaper than the paperback the value of the box will be made up with extra items.

Deluxe Version – £22, this comes the same as the standard box however there will be EITHER a hardback version of the book OR extra goodies (minimum of 5).

One the 2nd of each month I will issue invoices to those have signed up. This will require payment before the 13th of the month. You can cancel your subscription anytime between the 14th and 1st of each month and I will not issue an invoice. You can request to restart your subscription at any time and will be added to the next available box subscription.

If you would like to purchase a subscription or one-off box you can do so by contacting me via my Facebook group or replying to the corresponding album.

UglyBugDoes October Box

*Disclaimer – I received this box free of charge for being a member of Ugly Bug Does Design Team. This does not influence my opinion in anyway and all my comments are my own*

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”… That’s what I am singing with this amazing box.

This is such a bittersweet post as it is my last month as part of the design team as Michelle has decided to try a different way to manage and promote the boxes.

This is by far my favourite of all the boxes I have been lucky enough to receive.

So without further ado this is what was included;

* Sticker Kit themed for winter.

* Snowman sticky notes

*Snowflake metal paperclip

* Blue fine point nib pen

* Winter themed charm

The snowflake clip was my favourite item, unfortunately it has gone walk about and Michelle is kind enough to send me another YAY!

Fairyloot September Box: Magic and Mayhem

I heard of Fairyloot when I was doing research for my own bookish subscription and absolutely fell in love. Fairyloot is much more high end than the boxes I do and until now I’ve never had the chance to subscribe.

I ordered my box as soon as I possibly could on the 1st August. I had a long and impatient wait for it to be shipped late September.

Well I can say it was definitely worth the wait. I love it and will definitely be subscribing to these boxes on a more permanent basis for sure.

The box itself was fantastic with its fairyloot design and inner quote.

When I opened the box I was greeted to a mass of purple shredded paper and the note describing each of the items within the box.

I carefully unpacked the box and marvelled at the contents. Many of the items were based on the Grisha novels which was perfect since I am currently reading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

I’ve got a couple of close up’s of my favourite items in this box.

The Candle by Castle of Fables – designed for the box in the scent of Corporalki from the Grisha books. I love the smell of this it reminds me somewhat a little of Snow Fairy from Lush.

This little necklace,  wow it’s super cute. Little Russian doll from Pastelclouds.

I am really looking forward to reading the book which was not only a hardback but also came with a signed sticker and matching bookmark from Behind The Pages.

The book is called  Vassa In The Night by Sarah Porter.

I would rate this box a 5/5.

I love the entirety of the contents and the effort put into the presentation.

If you would like to get your hands on a Fairyloot box you can do so here. Boxes are available for purchase on the 8th of the month but come in limited quanity and sell out very fast. I’ve missed the October Steampunk box but I’ll be waiting to get my hands on the November box Royals and Rogues.

Boxes cost £26 which is around £32 after shipping.

UglyBugDoes August Unveiling

To say I was excited about this box is somewhat of an understatement. Michelle had of course given us the theme and a couple of peeks throughout the month but even the main box contents were kept a relative secret from the design team.

The theme was Famous Boy Wizard which of course was inspired by the amazingly magical Harry Potter. Now…I don’t mind admitting I am a massive Potterhead. I love Harry Potter and all things Potterised so this was an amazing box.

Michelle puts such effort and quality in these boxes that they are impossible to love. I am considering spending money I don’t have on another just for the items, especially the pencil case which makes a brilliant sticker storage pouch.

So in this month’s box what did we receive?

*A quill pen

* Pencil Case inscribed with a quote

* Harry Potter inspired sticker kit

* Harry Potter Lego charm

I was lucky enough to get the Hermione charm and although I was sorted into Ravenclaw by the sorting hat quiz on the Pottermore site, she is still one of my favourite characters.

If you would like to get your hands on one of these amazing boxes for yourself, please pop along to the UglyBugDoes Etsy store. Michelle is currently taking a break to get sorted with the end of the summer holidays but she will be back shortly.

TSG: Bookclub Box August Unveiling

The day has finally arrived for me to unveil the contents of the first Stationery Geekette Bookclub Box.

I was so excited to put all this together. Finalising the Subscriber Houses, Monthly challenge details and all the actual items.

I sourced special ribbon just to tie up the challenge sheet and spent what felt like hours sealing all the letters with a wax seal.

I’m proud of my little box coming together and incredibly thankful to those who handcrafted and worked away creating the most gorgeous things to be included.

So lets look at the contents;

The Book: Alice by Christina Henry

Stickers: UglyBugDoes

Bookmark: Quirkyartshere

Postcard: Sushistudios

Charm: Alymarinacraft

Also included was a pen and some ephemera.

The response to the first box has been really really good. The book also seems to have been a hit.

The Planner Society Subs Box – June

I’d seen a few sneak peeks of this box and I wasn’t really sure what to make of it.

Everything seemed to be flamingo or pineapple orientated and I am not really into this sort of theme.

However….when the box arrived I loved everything. It wasn’t over-the-top-in-your-face flamingo or pineapple.

This months box came with a few different things such as a pencil case, wooden stamps, sparkle pen and some tabs.

My favourite item in this box is the tabs set. I love them and have almost used them all up. I also used the papers to make a TN wallet:)

All in all I’m very happy with the box and my subscription thus far.
