Planner Girls Collective: Spring Bucket List

Hey Everyone.

Today’s Planner Girls Collective post is a look at our Spring Bucket List.

If I’m honest I don’t have a bucket list persay, however I do have a list of sorts.

This spring is a massive spring clean for me. Since we moved from a 4 bed, 2 bath house to a small 2 up, 2 down last April we’ve been in a constant state of declutter and sort.

We are now so close to having everything done so my ‘bucket’ list revolves around spring cleaning.

1) Sort out the shed. It’s currently full to the roof with stuff to go to the scrap yard. We want it cleared, painted and sorted.

2) Sort out the bedroom boxes. There are still about 8 boxes in our bedroom that need sorting through, repacking, labeling and put in the attic.

3) Sort out the desk area. We currently use the desk and surrounding area as a coat and bag dump. I needs sorting and reorganising.

4) Get a coat and shoe rack. Pretty self explanatory.

5) Sort my craft supplies. Currently all my scrapbook and craft stuff is just altogether. I want to go through and categorise everything, store it properly and label it.

So that’s the bulk of my list. I do want to work on my novel as well which I will be during NaNo month in April.

Confessions Of A Plannerholic: Halloween Bucket List

Good Morning you lovely bunch and Happy Halloween. Today’s instalment of Confessions Of A Plannerholic is to share our Halloween Bucket List.
I love Halloween and I really wish it lasted over a day. I do however plan to make it last at least two days.

So what is on my list?

1) Watch Hocus Pocus.

2) Read The Fog by James Herbert.

3) Eat all the sweets.

4) Carve a Pumpkin.

5) Watch a scary movie.

6) Decorate the house.

And there you have it. I’ve even drawn some little silly Halloween pics in my blog planner notebook! lol.

I’d love to know if you’ve got a Bucket list for Halloween.

Please don’t forget to drop by these lovely ladies and see what they are up to on Halloween 🙂

My Week 41

For this week theme I have gone all out Goonies. These stickers are from the wonderful All Things Paper and are amazing quality. The little blogging girl stickers are from The Plump Planner and are completely adorable.

Loving the new vertical layout from the Carpe Diem Ballerina planner, it is actually making me much more productive than I was previously.

Thanks for reading:)

My Week 32

I’ve been totally useless at doing ‘Plan With Me’ posts so I thought I would try something a bit different and go with a ‘My Week’ posts.

I’m starting with next week, Monday 8th August.

I’m trying something a little bit different this month, the reasons why will be explained in a post later this week.

I am using Just So Stationery inserts and I’ve split the weekly into two sections. 1 is for my blog planning the 2nd is for my everyday planning.

I love the layout of these inserts with the notes and to-do sections on the left. It means I get an overview on my priority tasks without having to search for them in my weekly diary.

I’ve kept my decor really simple this week while I adjust to the new set up.

The washi comes from the Micheals Recollections Watercolour tube I was luckily enough to get from someone here in the UK.

The stickers are from UglyBugDoesIt’s Only Me CaraleeThe Geeky Planner and AJ6Designs.

I have the new Carpe Diem Ballerina planner on pre-order which should have been here but is currently delayed. I am looking forward to that arriving to try out the new vertical inserts.

Lots of blog posts to put out this week and my everyday looks a little empty but that’s due to having the kids off school as we try to live with a bit of spontaneity lol:)

G.T.D Reviewing Your Work (Six-Level Model)

I’m not sure about you but I always like to review over any work I do regularly to ensure that I’ve not made any errors or forgotten anything important.

In his book Getting Thing’s Done David Allen disucsses a model to use when you are reviewing any work. This model should help define what your work is and what your priorities are.

1) Purpose and Principles – This is the big picture view, what is it you want to achieve 10-20 years from now? Why do you exist, What matters to you? This is primary purpose that provides the cire definition of what your work really is,  everything you do derives from this.

2) Vision – How do you envisage your life in 3-5 years,  what will your job be? This helps narrow your vision down and clarify what the next phase is to achieve your desired outcome.

3) Goals – What do you want to experience in your life 1-2 years from now? This will help shift your focus to a more immediate future goal.

4)  Areas of Focus and Accountability – This is where you break down those goals into areas such as health, home, financial, career etc.

5) Current Projects – This is the list of all the projects that you have these projects are what will combine to give you the desired outcome in step 1.

6) Current Actions – This is the list of actions you need to complete to make progress in your projects.

Using this model to review your work should encourage, motivate and serve as a reminder as to what you want and where you’re going and to ensure nothing has been missed or overlooked.
