Confessions Of A Plannerholic #4

Welcome to another edition of Confessions Of A Plannerholic.

Today we have another Q&A session. Before I get started I would love to hear from you, would you like us to feature a particular topic or have questions to pose?  If so please feel free to leave a comment or send a mail via our Facebook page and we will gladly arrange it.

We are also still looking for contributors.

Okay, let’s begin

1) How many planners do you own?

I’ve actually had quite a scale back over the last few months however I still have a fair few.

Grey Wellness Planner by Kikki-K

Mint Webster’s Pages Traveler’s Notebook

Walnut Webster’s Pages Traveler’s Notebook

Nordic Paperchase Planner

Heidi Swapp Memory Planner

Webster’s Pages Pink Planner

I also have 2 clipbooks but I consider them notebooks rather than planners.

2) What is your favourite Pen?

My absolute favourite Pen is the Uniball Signo Sakura 0.38 nib. I have to order these from China but I love them.

3) Do you have a favourite theme?

At the moment I am loving floral and Boho themes.

4) How many rolls of washi do you own?

Urm..lol. At my last count it was around 400 however I haven’t actually checked for a couple of months but I have got rid of a few and gained a few so I suspect I am still hovering around that number.

5) Stickers or Washi?

Washi, always washi. I love stickers but I find washi is more versatile.

6) Rings, Discs or Coils?

I tend to have more ring planners but I do like the other types to. Rings are always my go to though.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Confessions Of A Plannerholic #3

For my 2nd confession I am admitting to being a dishonest planner addict.

Every good Plannerholic knows that there is a plethora of stationery and planner releases throughout the year. When most of the releases happen we tend to get somewhat over-excited and have to have it all, by all I do mean everything.  The everything we buy often serves no purpose but we can excuse it away..everyone needs new stationery to take stock of their kitchen cupboards don’t they?

I have come up with so many excuses and reasons why I must buy more stationery, mostly in a bid to become more organised.

Over 1000 sticky notes might actually be useful one day. Picture this….there has been an outbreak of a virus, the dead are coming back to life. You have been lucky enough to stumble upon a safe haven and wish to notify others. What better way than to write notes and directions on post-it notes and put them all over so that survivors know where to head for safety. In essence this means that sticky notes are potentially life savers. Just think about that for a minute. Let my theory sink in….

I admit I have told a few porkies when it comes to planners over the years. Classically the old “It was on sale” is probably used the most.

I am not even sure why I do, my partner doesn’t mind what they cost as long as I am happy and bills are paid. I think it’s because really I’m trying to justify it to myself. Deep down I know I do not need it, I shouldn’t buy it there is something else I could and should spend the money on..but it’s pretty….

Let’s hope for all of us little fibbers lying about Stationery isn’t a gateway into hard crime, broken windows theory and all that jazz!

I really hope I am not alone in feeling this way about the things I buy:)

Hope you’ve enjoyed reading.

Confession 1… A Tale of Parental Ninja Skills

Kids…kids and planner addict parents aren’t always a good combination.  I mean yeah organisation is on spot, events are well planned and everything you need to know about your homelife is documented and alphabetised. However, I am not a good planner addict mummy and this is my first confession.

I hide my planner supplies. I love my children and I am all for their creative exploration but not at the expense of my planner pretties. I will and have sulked about the misuse of washi, pen scribbles on my planner pages and people using my precious pens. The 13 year-old premenstrual teenage girl comes out in me and it isn’t pretty.

Aside from the cost of the supplies it’s that they are mine, my territory and the only thing that I have that belongs solely to me. They have their own and do not need mine.

It has now resulted in my hiding my washi, pens and paper. I skulk about like a pro-ninja sneaking things out of boxes and cupboards discreetly writing in my planners when the children are distracted.  Once they are in bed is when they real fun begins.

Like a child at Christmas I get everything out I want to use and spread it all over. If I could roll around in it like it was piles of cash I would,  although I’m sure my partner would have me committed.

So there we have it. This is my Confession….and I’m sure I am not alone:)
