Planner Girls Collective: Planner Meets – Pamper, Plan and Create 2018

Hey Everyone and welcome to another Planner Girls Collective post.

This week we have all picked our own topic and today I will be talking about planner meet-up’s, particularly Pamper, Plan and Create (PPC) which I was lucky enough to go to earlier this month.

PPC is organised by three beautiful ladies. Michelle Mills of Ugly Bug Plans, Leanne Snowball of The Geeky Planner and Kelly Bendelow of HazyDaysUK. The first PPC was last year (2017) and was in Newcastle. Unfortunely I couldn’t make that.

PPC was originally set up to provide a relaxing environment for people to get together and share a love for all things stationery. Set to be in the North of England to give those who couldn’t attend southern meet-up’s a chance to partake.

I got really lucky this year and my beautiful friend Debbie purchased a day ticket for me. The tickets are sold either as a day ticket or a weekend ticket which includes an overnight stay and meals.

I was really looking forward to going. I was 50% nervous and 50% excited. I was worried I wouldn’t make it due to either my illness or the horrendous snow that showed up the week of the event. However, I managed to make it and last the day.

I had an amazing time. I got to meet some amazing people and what’s more, I didn’t feel out of place for my hobby. I felt at home.

The day was so relaxed and easy going. Kelly held a travelling workshop on Brush Lettering which I loved and has helped a lot. There were stalls from shop owners which I got to meet and browse.

We also got the most fantastic goodie bags which were little craft totes. They were full of freebies and discount codes. We even got Erin Condren items and a gift certificate for a full price planner from Personal-Planner.

The best thing though…the table I was sat with. Table 3 was fantastic, what an amazing bunch of ladies I got lucky sitting with.

Honestly if anyone ever has doubts about attending a meet, don’t, you will really enjoy it. I’m going to save to attend PPC again next year as I really loved the atmosphere the girls worked so hard on achieving. All in all it was a massive success in my eyes.

Now here are some pictures:)

Planner Girls Collective: 2018 GoalsĀ

Hello 2018!

Today’s Planner Girls Collective is focusing on our 2018 goals.

2017 was a big year for me. I took on so much and really advanced myself in ways I hadn’t predicted. It was also a difficult year as my health took a nose dive and I was diagnosed with a condition which will continue to effect me. This been said I have thought really hard about what I want to achieve in 2018 and where I want my focus to lay.

My words and focus of the year are Balance and Health.

My goals as you can see below are quite broad but encompass all aspects of my life.

I hope that 2018 will be the year for me to settle into my life with all the changes that came in 2017.

I wish all my viewers, friends and family have an amazing 2018.

Feel free to share with us what your aspirations are for the new year and don’t forget to visit the other ladies in the PGC.

Planner Girl’s Collective: Back To School SuppliesĀ

It’s that time of the year again where Autumn starts creeping in and the children are preparing to start the new school year. For the older generation like myself we prepare for college or university.

I am going to be starting my Masters in Law so I have been having a look at supplies I need to gather.

As a self-confessed stationery addict this is probably the best thing for me to do lol.

I love the Signo Sakura Uniball pen but they are only available from Hong Kong so I order from eBay. I order a larger pack in Black.

I also have these in red and blue – this will be especially handy as I will need to colour code various things such as Acts of Parliament, Laws and Cases.

For me there is only 1 choice. Zebra Mildliners.

I already have the blue set to the right but I am debating buying the other colour set. You can get these from Amazon they do come in single packs as well.

I personally love the ARC notebooks from Staples. I have a few A5 and an A4 which I will be using for my studies. I love the interchangeable pages and that the paper is sturdy and good quality.

Ring-Binder Folders

I haven’t quite decided yet but I’m likely to get either these Kraft ones from Paperchase or these roll around ones from WHSmith.

Other than this I don’t really need anything. I’ve got rulers, pencils etc in the plenty.

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to pop over to the other ladies to see their Back to School Supplies.

Planner Girls Collective: Meal Planning

It’s been a little while since I have taken part in the Planner Girls Collective post, purely due to illness mostly.

This week we are looking at meal planning. Since I am back at Slimming World, meal prep is massively Important for me to due.

I get paid on Tuesday’s so for me meal planning is always something I do every Monday. First of all I go through my recipe books and websites looking for meals that I quite fancy. Lately I’m trying to add one new dish a week to my range to stop myself getting bored.

I think write down the ingredients I need. I plan for every day up to the following Tuesday. I then go through lunch ideas and do the same, adding a few things for my OH and children that are bits I can’t eat.

Please excuse my writing lol.

I then go through all the snacks I want in. I write each evening meal in my and have a list of everything in my edc travelers notebook.

Do you meal pls? If so how do you do It?

Please don’t forget to pop along to all the other girls taking part.

Planner Girls Collective: Scrapbooking Tips

Planner Girls Collective

Hey everyone,

Today’s PGC post is Scrapbooking Tips.

There is only one tip for me to really share as I don’t really scrapbook, more so I journal.

My tip would be ‘to see everything through scrapbookers eyes’ by this I mean to see everything as potential decoration. This could be leaflets that you can use, magazines you can cut up, leaves, newspapers, tickets, tags, pretty much anything that can be stuck down.

I have used a plethora of items in my journaling, leaves from my local Priory, twigs, cut out letters from newspaper articles etc.

They really do enhance the joy I get from journaling. They make it such fun to figure out uses for them.

If you have any scrapbook tips I would love to hear them, feel free to pop them in the comments below.

Planner Girls Collective: My Planning Style

Today on Planner Girls Collective we are looking at Planner style. This is for those who don’t know, how we use our planners. Some people really like to go full on with stickers and washi, others are minimal and then some like me prefer a bit of everything.

For me primarily my planner pages need to be functional. I do love washi and stickers but for the most part, they are a secondary thing.

I always set up my pages with a small amount of decor, as you can see from the picture below of this week, there isn’t much there. A splash of colour, odd sticker placed but mostly blank.

However, My pages do not stay this blank. At the end of each day, I go through and fill the day up with all the bits I have missed and more decor. I have tried to get a bit more adventurous with my writing styles but as it stands I am pretty happy with my Planning Style now.

Planner Girls Collective: My Planner Journey {Why I plan}

Hey everyone,

It’s been a few weeks since my last Planner Girl’s Collective post but I am back on track now (thanks, Easter!).

This week we are discussing our planner journey’s, and why it is we use planners.

I have always loved stationery and organisers but up until early 2015, I didn’t realise just what a world it was.

I had a baby in late 2014 and during pregnancy and early motherhood I found out about A Bowl Full Of Lemons and revolutionised my organisation however it wasn’t until I was diagnosed with Post-natal depression that I got my first Filofax.

With everything going on in my head and with having a newborn, house to run and 2 other older children it was a necessity for me to just know what my life was doing on a day to day basis.

About 4-6 months later I discovered planner groups on Facebook and I was introduced to other planner manufacturers, traveller’s notebooks, washi, stickers. You name it, I found it. My world suddenly got a lot bigger and a lot brighter.

I have since discovered creative journaling, memory planning, and other forms of planning and journaling which I have come to rely on not sure to organise my life but to organise my head.

People may not understand this obsession, that is fine they don’t need to but for me, it helps me organise my thought’s and has helped with my PND in a huge way.

Planning for me is a lifeline, not just a hobby. Without them, my life would be chaos.

Planner Girls Collective: Spring Bucket List

Hey Everyone.

Today’s Planner Girls Collective post is a look at our Spring Bucket List.

If I’m honest I don’t have a bucket list persay, however I do have a list of sorts.

This spring is a massive spring clean for me. Since we moved from a 4 bed, 2 bath house to a small 2 up, 2 down last April we’ve been in a constant state of declutter and sort.

We are now so close to having everything done so my ‘bucket’ list revolves around spring cleaning.

1) Sort out the shed. It’s currently full to the roof with stuff to go to the scrap yard. We want it cleared, painted and sorted.

2) Sort out the bedroom boxes. There are still about 8 boxes in our bedroom that need sorting through, repacking, labeling and put in the attic.

3) Sort out the desk area. We currently use the desk and surrounding area as a coat and bag dump. I needs sorting and reorganising.

4) Get a coat and shoe rack. Pretty self explanatory.

5) Sort my craft supplies. Currently all my scrapbook and craft stuff is just altogether. I want to go through and categorise everything, store it properly and label it.

So that’s the bulk of my list. I do want to work on my novel as well which I will be during NaNo month in April.

Do you have a Spring Bucket List?
