Plan With Me 21st – 27th August.

This week in my large ban.do I have gone with a Supernatural theme. Using the last of the kit from UglyBugPlans which is now offered as a free printable on her blog.

I also decorated my smaller Ban.do planner which I use for Blog/Writing.  I used the Galaxy kit from TheGingerCatCo which I bought many months ago.

I’m trying to style my own inserts in my Micro which is used as an everyday carry.

Planner Sticker Set Giveaway!

Hey Everyone 🙂

Today I bring you a Giveaway.  This is in part to celebrate my 500 followers on Instagram but also to promote a lovely little sticker shop.

I was gifted 2 sets of stickers from ManagingMischiefCo,  one for myself and one for my readers.

Now I had the choice of sets and while there were some beautiful seasonal ones to pick from I picked something that can be used any day of the year.

The set is called the Pause and Reflect set. I intend to use mine for the first week in January. Why? because after the busy festive period it is the perfect time to Pause and just take a breathe and Reflect on the year passed and goals for the year ahead.

This set is crisp, simple and elegant and I cannot wait to pop them in my new 2017 planners.

So what are the Giveaway details you nay ask. Please follow the instructions below to enter.
1) Giveaway is open Internationally.

2)  Giveaway closes on 20th December and will be posted 21st December.

My Christmas Planner

Tis the season to be jolly…

It’s December!  weeee finally it’s excusable to play Christmas songs, wear Christmas jumpers and watch Home Alone.

It also means it’s time to break out all the Christmas planners and accessories.

Now unlike most people I don’t ‘plan’ Christmas. I do have a planner but it’s not to write my plans in. I use it instead to Journal My December. I may add my Card list and anything I need to remember but that’s about it.

This year I am using a beautiful festive TN from Geekydori. I snagged this in the Black Friday sale for £8.50 and it came with a lovely free insert.

I have ordered some pretty snowflake inserts but I am still waiting for them to arrive.

Now, obviously I didn’t just leave it plain. I have Christmas’d it up.

I used the snowman sticky notes from the UglyBugDoes December Planner box, the Santa magnetic clip I won and the beautiful Dashboard from the Little Rainbow Moon December Mystery kit. I the added further accessories using gift tags etc.

This is the first page in my journal so far.

While I am posting my set up I’ll show you the full contents of the Little Rainbow Moon kit. It was my first kit and I am absolutely in love with it.

I also got this new addition today from Stitch and Weave.

So there you have it, my Christmas planner. I may just post an update on my journaling pages next week.

I’d love to know are you using a Christmas planner? Have you gone for a festive set-up?

Thanks for reading.

Planner Productivity: Prioritising Your Tasks

Hello and Welcome to the first in my productivity mini series.

There will be 8 posts released 1 per week all focusing on improving your productivity ready for 2017.

Some of these posts will have little quizzes and are easy to jot down and implement into your planning routine.

Today’s post is quite short and sweet and focuses on prioritising your tasks.

As we all know it’s pretty easy to get bogged down with everything we have to do, and then never really get anything done as we don’t know where to start. It can be overwhelming to say the least.

This little tip should help you figure out what needs doing and the order in which it should be done.

First of all write down all your tasks, don’t focus on an order yet just write them all.

Next go through the list and either colour-code or number the Urgent and Important tasks (these require the most focus).

Next go through and colour-code or number the Urgent Only tasks these are the tasks which should be completed after all the Urgent and Important tasks are complete.

Next colour-code or number the Important Only tasks. These should be the next to be completed.

Lastly, you can get on with everything else.

If your task list extends over the day remember to check it each morning and move the priorities as necessary and add anything that has come up since originally writing the list.

I use colour-coding for my priority list.

Red: Urgent and Important

Blue: Urgent

Green: Important

Black: Everything else.

I really like this method as I find it helps immensely whether it’s with house chores, my posts, my business, and just life in general.

Stay tuned for next week’s Planning post.

My College Planner and Set-Up

As some of you may remember I posted about a month ago about how I was due to start college again in September and as struggling with what options were available.

Well now I have gone back and I have sorted my planner situation out.

Let’s have a look at what I opted for…

The Planner: Pause Large by Kikki-K

I received this planner in a swap and initially  had no idea what I was going to do with it. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it as my experience with Kikki-K planners has been a little hit and miss. My favourite is a Kikki-K but I have found most of there others planners are quite bulky without even adding the inserts.
However once I added all my bits and pieces to it, it turned out to be pretty perfect. It won’t fit much in there in the way of actual lesson work but I don’t intend on adding anythign like that other than Key Notes sheets. This is primarily as a diary and schedule keeper.

To compliment this I purchased a ARC disbound A5 notebook. This is perfect as they have both have the same colour scheme and I can add the A5 sheet into my planner if it is something that is important.

I really like this set up, it’s pretty, simple and effective.
Do you study? If so what are you using? I’d love to hear from you 🙂

10 Tips For Positive Thinking

1459281144771

There are many different ways in which people remain positive and they may differ from person to person. These tips are things which I have found help me personally and I am hoping that they may help you even if it is with just one little tip.

  1. Wake Up To Positivity.

When you get up on a morning do something that makes you happy. A happy mindset is a positive one. It is the best way to approach the day ahead. For me this is having a cuppa and organising the day ahead in my planner.

2. Be Grateful

Write down what you are grateful for and keep revisiting the list. If life is feeling overwhelming or taking a negative turn remembering what you are grateful for helps to remind you that life is not as bad as it feels.

3. Affirmations and Quotes

Tell yourself how awesome you are and what you can achieve. Affirmations strengthen your core belief and are great for your mind and soul. Quotes can restore inspiration and motivation.

4. Remove Yourself

If you are in a negative situation take yourself out of it for a breather. Even if it is into another room for 5 minutes it can help restore calm and balance. I often got for a walk to disperse the negative energy.

5. Visualisation

Visualisation of your desired outcome, life or job. Imagining what you are striving for helps create the determination you need to succeed.

6. Positive People

Surround yourself with positive like-minded people. Negative people have a way of bringing those around them down to their level. Positive people help spur on motivation.

7. Write It Down

If you write down your concerns it instantly makes a difference. Things feel much better when it is all out there, as the old saying goes “A problem shared is a problem halved”.

8. Pace Yourself

Don’t rush yourself, pacing yourself means you are less likely to make mistakes.

9. Change Your Approach

When faced with a negative thought or situation change how you approach it. Ask HOW you can move forward and what it will achieve.

10. Repeat If Necessary

Try, try and try again. Perseverance is key. If you fail the first time get up and get back on it. Every fail creates strength. We naturally learn from our mistakes. Knowing WHAT NOT to do is one step further to knowing WHAT to do.
