This week’s Confession’s post is a little different from one we have done previously. We will all be sharing our favourite recipes.
For me this was a really easy pick. We have been having the same meal every Friday for what feels like forever as it’s our ultimate go-to favourite.
My recipe today will be Pasta Bolognese…
500g 5% fat mince
1 Tin of chopped tomatoes
Half a tub of tomato passata
Half a green pepper
Half a red pepper
1 carrot chopped into fine batons
1 red onion
1 Oxo cube
1 Bag of Pasta
Brown the mince with the onion in a little oil or fry light. On a medium heat
Once the mince is browned add the peppers and carrots.
Leave for 5 minutes to soften a little then add the tinned tomatoes and passata.
Stir together and add the garlic (as much as you wish), few sprinkles of oregano, the crumbled Oxo cube and a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce.
Once all in the pan mix together and leave to simmer on a low heat for 30-40 minutes stirring occasionally.
After 30-40 mins put on the pasta and pop a garlic bread in the oven.
Once the pasta and bread are ready mix the pasta and sauce together and serve onto plates or in bowls, add the garlic bread as required.
And voila…Pasta Bolognese TSG style!
