Planner Girls Collective: 2018 Goals

Hello 2018!

Today’s Planner Girls Collective is focusing on our 2018 goals.

2017 was a big year for me. I took on so much and really advanced myself in ways I hadn’t predicted. It was also a difficult year as my health took a nose dive and I was diagnosed with a condition which will continue to effect me. This been said I have thought really hard about what I want to achieve in 2018 and where I want my focus to lay.

My words and focus of the year are Balance and Health.

My goals as you can see below are quite broad but encompass all aspects of my life.

I hope that 2018 will be the year for me to settle into my life with all the changes that came in 2017.

I wish all my viewers, friends and family have an amazing 2018.

Feel free to share with us what your aspirations are for the new year and don’t forget to visit the other ladies in the PGC.

Planner Girl’s Collective: Back To School Supplies

It’s that time of the year again where Autumn starts creeping in and the children are preparing to start the new school year. For the older generation like myself we prepare for college or university.

I am going to be starting my Masters in Law so I have been having a look at supplies I need to gather.

As a self-confessed stationery addict this is probably the best thing for me to do lol.

Pens

I love the Signo Sakura Uniball pen but they are only available from Hong Kong so I order from eBay. I order a larger pack in Black.

I also have these in red and blue – this will be especially handy as I will need to colour code various things such as Acts of Parliament, Laws and Cases.

Highlighers

For me there is only 1 choice. Zebra Mildliners.

I already have the blue set to the right but I am debating buying the other colour set. You can get these from Amazon they do come in single packs as well.

Notebooks

I personally love the ARC notebooks from Staples. I have a few A5 and an A4 which I will be using for my studies. I love the interchangeable pages and that the paper is sturdy and good quality.

Ring-Binder Folders

I haven’t quite decided yet but I’m likely to get either these Kraft ones from Paperchase or these roll around ones from WHSmith.

Other than this I don’t really need anything. I’ve got rulers, pencils etc in the plenty.

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to pop over to the other ladies to see their Back to School Supplies.

Planner Girls Collective: Meal Planning

It’s been a little while since I have taken part in the Planner Girls Collective post, purely due to illness mostly.

This week we are looking at meal planning. Since I am back at Slimming World, meal prep is massively Important for me to due.

I get paid on Tuesday’s so for me meal planning is always something I do every Monday. First of all I go through my recipe books and websites looking for meals that I quite fancy. Lately I’m trying to add one new dish a week to my range to stop myself getting bored.

I think write down the ingredients I need. I plan for every day up to the following Tuesday. I then go through lunch ideas and do the same, adding a few things for my OH and children that are bits I can’t eat.

Please excuse my writing lol.

I then go through all the snacks I want in. I write each evening meal in my Ban.do and have a list of everything in my edc travelers notebook.

Do you meal pls? If so how do you do It?

Please don’t forget to pop along to all the other girls taking part.

Planner Girls Collective: Scrapbooking Tips

Planner Girls Collective

Hey everyone,

Today’s PGC post is Scrapbooking Tips.

There is only one tip for me to really share as I don’t really scrapbook, more so I journal.

My tip would be ‘to see everything through scrapbookers eyes’ by this I mean to see everything as potential decoration. This could be leaflets that you can use, magazines you can cut up, leaves, newspapers, tickets, tags, pretty much anything that can be stuck down.

I have used a plethora of items in my journaling, leaves from my local Priory, twigs, cut out letters from newspaper articles etc.

They really do enhance the joy I get from journaling. They make it such fun to figure out uses for them.

If you have any scrapbook tips I would love to hear them, feel free to pop them in the comments below.

Planner Girls Collective: My Planning Style

17157393_10154281522450848_9081407286184986844_o

Today on Planner Girls Collective we are looking at Planner style. This is for those who don’t know, how we use our planners. Some people really like to go full on with stickers and washi, others are minimal and then some like me prefer a bit of everything.

For me primarily my planner pages need to be functional. I do love washi and stickers but for the most part, they are a secondary thing.

I always set up my pages with a small amount of decor, as you can see from the picture below of this week, there isn’t much there. A splash of colour, odd sticker placed but mostly blank.

However, My pages do not stay this blank. At the end of each day, I go through and fill the day up with all the bits I have missed and more decor. I have tried to get a bit more adventurous with my writing styles but as it stands I am pretty happy with my Planning Style now.

Planner Girls Collective: My Planner Journey {Why I plan}

17157393_10154281522450848_9081407286184986844_o

Hey everyone,

It’s been a few weeks since my last Planner Girl’s Collective post but I am back on track now (thanks, Easter!).

This week we are discussing our planner journey’s, and why it is we use planners.

I have always loved stationery and organisers but up until early 2015, I didn’t realise just what a world it was.

I had a baby in late 2014 and during pregnancy and early motherhood I found out about A Bowl Full Of Lemons and revolutionised my organisation however it wasn’t until I was diagnosed with Post-natal depression that I got my first Filofax.

With everything going on in my head and with having a newborn, house to run and 2 other older children it was a necessity for me to just know what my life was doing on a day to day basis.

About 4-6 months later I discovered planner groups on Facebook and I was introduced to other planner manufacturers, traveller’s notebooks, washi, stickers. You name it, I found it. My world suddenly got a lot bigger and a lot brighter.

I have since discovered creative journaling, memory planning, and other forms of planning and journaling which I have come to rely on not sure to organise my life but to organise my head.

People may not understand this obsession, that is fine they don’t need to but for me, it helps me organise my thought’s and has helped with my PND in a huge way.

Planning for me is a lifeline, not just a hobby. Without them, my life would be chaos.

To see why the other ladies in the group plan and to read their journey please visit their blogs listed below.

Planner Girls Collective: My Current Planner Set-Up

17157393_10154281522450848_9081407286184986844_o

Hey Everyone. For today’s Planner Girls Collective post we are all showing our current planner set-up. Now for me this is a temporary set-up.

I am waiting for some inserts and dividers to set up my Sandringham planner. I have been struggling with my planner set up lately. Everything seems to work for a month or two but inevitably it stops been effective and I have finally found the reason why.

I use inserts that are supplied in planners and they are not working, as a result I end up with 3 planners to track everything I need to track and then I never use any one of them effectively so I have had some custom inserts set up that allow me to track all parts of my business, blog and home life effectively.

Along with the Sandringham I will be using my Uglydori as a note taking, on the go, bit of everything planner and my Filofax notebook to draft blog posts.

However, until that is set up how I need I am using; My Domino soft for blog planning, my Sandringham for course info and notes, my Filofax notebook as my blog notebook and my Uglydori for everything else.

I am sure the other girls are probably far more organised than I am at the moment 🙂

Hey Everyone.

Since Mother’s Day is fastly approching we thought that a Top Gifts for Crafty Mumma’s would be highly appropriate.

  2. Derwent Double Ended Watercolour Pencils – A lot less messy and easier to transport that watercolour paints.
  3. Subcription Boxes – I particularly love Mrs Brimbles LittleRainbowMoon , Royal Planner
  4. Washi Tape – One of my favourite stores for washi tape is Collecting Life.
  5. Tags – Yes, I mean gift tags. They made seem like an odd choice but I love to use them in my journals. You can find a wide selection here on Etsy.

Hey Everyone and welcome to another edition of Planner Girls Collective.

Today we are posting our planner wish lists. This could be items to use with our planners or actual planners themselves.

In terms of physical planners I am pretty good with what I have however I am hoping for an A5 as it’s the only size I don’t have. I am pretty open to the brand I just know the size is the main thing.

Everything else in my wish list is an item to use within my planner.

  1. Shooting Star Paperclip from Plannerhead
  2.  The entire Shootin’ For The Moon range by MrsBrimbles
  3.  Night Sky stickers from FabPlannerPrint
  4.  Rocket paperclip from Cherryblossomsinthemarketsquare
  5. Earth sticky notes from IzzyandDaisy
  6. Out Of The World Traveler’s Notebook double dashboard from LittleRainbowMoon
  7. Planner stickers from NotesandClips
  8. Contact Insert from TravelersTimes
  9. Watercolour stickers from CraftyAliCat
  10. All these mini kits from FiloFabulouss: Dreamy, XoXo, Fall, Deers
  11. Faber-Castell Watercolour pencils

So that’s pretty much everything. As you can see there is a general theme running through the items on there. They are to go in my new Uglydori which you will see a review on tomorrow.
